Understanding the area coverage 48-hour inshore waters forecast covers a large area of coastline and up to 12-miles offshore, e.g. Selsey Bill to Lyme Regis along which conditions will be subject to local influences including land effects, winds and tides. 1-5 day sea area forecast is taken from the Met Office Atmospheric Weather model and based upon the LAT/LONG for the particular area you select, i.e. Portsmouth, Dover, Calais, etc.  The sea area forecast might vary from the inshore waters forecast for the reasons above.

Tips to save money use the 4-digit area code as soon as your fax connects to Marinecall as this will take you straight to your forecast area.  If your fax machine prints as it downloads then press the stop key on your fax machine after you get the page you want.

To use Marinecall fax just dial the number from your fax machine and after the introduction input the 4-digit code or listen to the list of areas available - or just listen and select from the menu.  Press the start (receive or send) button to begin the transmission.  There may be a slight delay between dialing the number and your fax arriving. This is due to the information being downloaded to your fax machine prior to printing out.

Pricing 09065 calls cost £1.50 per minute, 09060 and 0906 55 calls cost £1 per minute.
